主講人簡介：加拿大女王大學（Queen’s University）曆史系副教授。中國近現代史專家，曾出版專著Smokeless Sugar: The death of a provincial bureaucrat and the construction of China's national economy。近年來環境史的理論、方法與中國環境史研究。

講座簡介：The lecture will introduce the discussions and debates over the theories and methods of environmental history in Western scholarship. The issues are the most concerned topics in scholarly frontiers in the West. The lecture also deals with the application of these environmental theories and methods in Chinese history.
